Our success stories

When organizations like yours want to create a custom learning and development plan or need expertise related to a problem, they look to the Tippie Leadership Collaborative as a trusted partner.

Here are just a few development experiences we've provided organizations:

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

The VA’s local and national Centers of Innovation (COINs) have worked with the TLC for several years to provide opportunities for their clinicians and researchers to develop leadership and teamwork skills that ultimately improve both the patient and employee experience. Most recently, our custom-built workshop series, Creating Collaborative, High Performing Teams, afforded all national COIN directors the chance to connect, while upskilling on topics related to belonging, employee voice, conflict, hybrid work, and work-life balance & strategic prioritization.

“TLC workshops hit the sweet spot of helping participants understand the underlying forces shaping specific workplace issues while supporting individual and group investigation and problem-solving among participants. We see great value in offering TLC workshops annually.”

Jane Moeckli, Cross-Center Director of Operations, VA Center for Access Delivery Research & Evaluation

HNI Corporation

In an effort to break down functional silos, up-skill their managerial workforce, and prepare future executives in the company, HNI called on the Tippie Leadership Collaborative to provide experts on engaging employees, developing teams, integrating company strategy & vision, decision-making & problem-solving, and managing change. As one of our longest-standing partners, HNI offers the program annually to a cohort of 20 high-potential managers in the company, giving them the opportunity to participate in a series of in-person, full-day sessions.

“The Tippie Leadership Collaborative is truly exceptional, providing transformative experiences for our executives that blend cutting-edge leadership education with practical applications, empowering executives to lead with confidence and innovation."

Greater Iowa City, Inc.

The Executive Leadership Program (ELP) was born out of the challenges facing Iowa City area leaders during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now heading into its fourth year, this cohort-based program continues to give local executives the opportunity to expand their network of peers while leveling up their leadership skills through powerful content focused on recruiting and retaining talent, leading diverse teams, change management, and workplace well-being.
