The Tippie College of Business Finance Department welcomes three new members to the Finance Advisory Council (FAC): Regina Carls, George W. Millward, and Lisa Stange.

The Finance Advisory Council is a vibrant group of accomplished professionals who provide guidance and support for Tippie’s world-class finance programs.

Regina Carls (BBA92) is a managing director at J.P. Morgan Chase in the greater Chicago area. In her current role, she offers expert advice to bankers and their clients on the benefits of executing Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) transactions and understanding ESOP-related issues. Carls earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Iowa and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from DePaul University.

George W. Millward (MBA80) is a managing director at The Kafafian Group, Inc., a management consulting firm in Pennsylvania that advises community banks nationally. He leads their Governance and Management Advisory Services and their Process Change practice. He is also a specialist in crisis management at the board and management level and at different points of his career has stepped in as an interim CEO or COO at banks and bank holding companies. Millward holds an MBA in finance, a master’s degree in urban and regional planning, and a Bachelor of Science degree, all from the University of Iowa.

Lisa Stange (BBA88/MBA89) is a recently retired chief investment officer, now serving as board chair of the Investment Board of Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System (IPERS). She was appointed to the board by the governor of Iowa for her financial expertise. Stange is also an Investment Committee member at the Des Moines Art Center and is part of the Insurance Women’s Investment Network group, working to promote women in insurance and investments through thoughtful programming and collaboration. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.

With the addition of these three outstanding professionals, the FAC strengthens Tippie’s connection to industry to aid in refining and continuously improving its programs.
