One of the strongest assets of any economics department is the exchange of intellectual ideas through seminars and conferences. At Iowa, the conferences and weekly seminars provide insights to students and faculty alike.

Clarence Tow Lectures

An on-campus lecture series that covers a variety of economic topics. Presenters are from both academia and industry. Held roughly once a week throughout the academic year. Funded by the Clarence W. Tow Fund.

Davies-deBoer Seminar in Health Economics

Covering topics related to health economics, this series is funded by an estate gift from Eleanor deBoer, PhD 1949, as a tribute to UI faculty member George R. Davies. Additional support is provided by the UI College of Pharmacy and UI Public Policy Center.

Iowa Alumni Workshops

Held annually, this one-day workshop features the research of both current PhD students and PhD alumni. Sponsored by the Clarence W. Tow Fund.
