A team of business and engineering students recently took first place in an international case competition in Montreal, Canada.
Competing at ENGCOMM, the group tackled complex, real-world cases blending engineering and business strategy—ultimately earning top honors for both their overall performance and their engineering solution. The team—made up of Tippie's Rawad Al Souki, industrial and system's engineering's Andrew Polgreen and Torin Brown, and electrical and computer engineering's Tyree Gardner—required a last-to-first comeback, highlighting the kind of collaborative problem-solving that marks University of Iowa students as future leaders.
