Admission to the MAc Program is open to all majors.
Accounting majors
Pick the clearest and most rewarding path to your CPA licensure and a master’s degree in just one year. Make your 30 hours count by maximizing your odds of passing the CPA exam and earning a degree that will set you apart throughout your career. Starting in fall 2020, no GMAT is required for UI undergraduate accounting majors.
Non-accounting majors

Minimum requirements
You must meet all of the following requirements to be considered for admission.
Bachelor’s degree
Earned from a regionally accredited college/university or equivalent from another country. We accept students from all undergraduate majors; an accounting degree is not required.
GPA
3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale or foreign equivalent.
GMAT
We recommend a total score of 550 or greater to be seriously considered for admission, with a verbal score at the 50th percentile or above. GRE is not accepted. University of Iowa undergraduates with an accounting major are waived from the GMAT requirement.
English proficiency: TOEFL/IELTS
International candidates only. Minimum scores are 100 iBT, 600 CBT, and 7.0 IELTS (no subscore <6.0).
