The certificate's five courses are all required for the master’s degree in business analytics. So when you’re ready to make the leap to the master’s program, you’ll have a healthy head start, with half the credits already under your belt and no time lost.

Business Analytics Certificate students pay one university fee, a one-time Records and Documents fee, in the amount of $75. University of Iowa graduates who earned a degree prior to Fall 2016 get to skip this fee. If you begin with the certificate and later enroll in the master's, you'll pay only one records fee of $225.
These five courses comprise the complete Business Analytics Certificate. You can use these courses toward the Iowa MBA or a Master’s in Business Analytics should you choose to pursue them later.

- Data Management and Visual Analytics (BAIS:6050)
- Data Programming in R (BAIS:6060) or Data Programming in Python (BAIS:6040)
- Data Science (BAIS:6070)
- Advanced Analytics (BAIS:9110)
Business Analytics Certificate + Iowa MBA
