Kristy Platz Walker
35+ years of progressive experience within Healthcare IT, managing successful implementations and ongoing IT operations across a wide range of clinical and administrative applications to large university as well as small independent hospitals and their clinics across the state of Iowa. At the state level, served on Iowa’s Electronic Health Information Advisory Council and led the Interoperable Electronic Health Records work group in building the State of Iowa’s Health Information Technology Plan. Served as the Iowa HIMSS state board of directors, in the roles of Advocacy Officer and President Elect. As an adjunct associate professor, taught health care executives over multiple years for UI College of Public Health. Happy to have joined UI Tippie College of Business in the Fall 2018, teaching in the Department of Business Analytics as well as fulfills the role of the Tippie Tech Advisor.
Morgan Clark
Morgan is a Manager in RSM’s Data & Analytics, Data Strategy and Governance practice. Her experience has spanned across various technologies and specialties including reporting and analytics, data management, data governance, data quality, data warehousing, and enterprise data strategy. She has worked closely with clients from Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage, Financial Services, Not for Profit, Education, Construction, Insurance, and a variety of other industries.
Kelcie Howe (Eisbrener)
Over the last 7+ years, Kelcie has developed for and managed several business intelligence implementations. She has worked with a variety of organizations and industries where she has assisted in designing various data models and assisted with data warehousing projects for effective long-term reporting.
Sarah Altemeier
Sarah Altemeier graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2022 with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Computer Science and Statistics. She currently resides in Chicago, where she works as a Consultant on the Data Architecture and Engineering team at AArete, a healthcare consulting firm. In her role at AArete, Sarah specializes in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for new client onboarding. She works to ensure data integration and migration for new clients, leveraging her expertise to streamline and optimize data workflows. Outside of her professional life, Sarah is passionate about cooking, playing soccer, and reading.
Diana Valladares
Diana was born and raised in El Salvador, grew up in Los Angeles for some part of her life and finally moved to Chicago where she explored her interest in Neuroscience at Loyola University Chicago. After graduating, she learned programing and now she currently works as a Consultant in Data Engineering and Architecture at a healthcare Consulting firm called AArete. Her favorite part about her job is automating processes and building pipelines that drive the overall work down and be more efficient within the company. Outside of her professional life she enjoys, playing and watching soccer, outdoor activities with Goose and Noma.
Sophie Selk
Sophie Selk is a Data Analyst II in the Data Analytics and Enterprise Communication department at Modern Woodmen of America. Sophie began her journey at Modern Woodmen of America after graduating from the University of Iowa with a degree in Business Analytics and Information Systems. In her current role, she acts as a liaison, translating business users’ problems into actionable insights and metrics. She merges these insights with data limitations to create meaningful reports.
Stephanie Cho
Stephanie graduated in 2015 with a Business Analytics and Information Systems major. She then joined EY-P and applied her learnings from Iowa into data driven consulting projects. The analytics skills she learned led her into an interest in finance and M&A. Stephanie Cho now has over 5 years experience as a consultant at a big four consulting company specializing in executing Fortune 500 transactions.
Magui Caro
I’m a Service and Operations Analyst at Mars Global Services and have been in my role for 2 years. I graduated in 2020 with 2 majors in Business Analytics and Human Resources. Prior to my current role, I worked at BerganKDV as a Business Process Analyst. My favorite part about my role is how I’m able to bring my two degrees together and work in space that is passionate about making data driven decisions.
Jessica Tse
Jessica Tse is a senior data engineer at Charles Schwab where she collaborates with product owners to develop and support robust data infrastructure and processes to provide Schwab analytics teams with quality financial data. Previously, she worked in analytics consulting and completed 4 internships in government, insurance, healthcare, and manufacturing industries prior to graduation. Jessica graduated in 2021 completing both tracks in the Business Analytics and Information Systems major and spoke as the student commencement speaker for Tippie. She is passionate about fostering creative team culture, learning about self-improvement, and mentoring younger students/professionals as they navigate college and transitioning to a full time career.
Rachel Ross
Rachel is a Business & Integration Architecture Consultant in the Oracle practice for Accenture in Chicago. She started as an analyst at Accenture focused on Oracle HCM Cloud. She has held many roles in the Oracle practice with multiple clients, across industries including, retail, utilities, and healthcare. She currently acts as the Accenture testing lead on a global transformation and implementation project. She strives to ensure her testing leadership not only drives the team's performance but also builds client confidence and cohesion, setting a high standard for excellence.
Rachel graduated with a BBA in Business Analytics and Information Systems from the University of Iowa in 2019.
