Peggy E. Stover
Introduction
A veteran of the CPG (consumer-packaged goods) industry, Peggy brings a wealth of corporate experience to the University of Iowa, Department of Marketing as an Associate Professor of Practice and Director of the Marketing Institute.
She has 23 years of CPG experience and background in brand management, sales, market research, new product innovation, and marketing analytics at Fortune 500 companies that include Kellogg’s, Kraft Foods, SC Johnson Wax, and Coors Brewing. Peggy also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Dubuque.
Peggy has an MPS from the University of Denver. She has a BBA with majors in Finance & Marketing from St. Mary’s University.
Peggy has authored and published numerous articles and industry white research papers on consumer and industry trends on a variety of topics. She has also interviewed and quoted by numerous media, including Bloomberg, USA Today, and Radio Iowa on consumer related topics and trends. In 2008 she was awarded Progressive Grocer Magazine “2008 Rising Star” for her achievements in the CPG industry. In 2009 she was awarded a US Design Patent with Anchor Hocking and Soy Basics.
In 2019 she was awarded the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business “Faculty of the Year” award. In 2021, she was awarded the “Faculty in Excellence and Service” by Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities at the University of Iowa. In 2024, she was invited to join The Conference Board as a member of the Marketing Council. The Conference Board is a 116 year old non profit think-tank research organization that publishes numerous economic reports including the Consumer Price Index and the US Job Satisfaction Report.
