U.S. News ranks Tippie #23 among public business schools, UI tops for writing

Tippie continues to be one of the top undergraduate business schools in the country, ranking #23 among public universities in the 2022-23 U.S. News & World Report rankings, up from #24 last year. Among all universities, the college was ranked #34, up from #36 in 2022.

A study from the Tippie College of Business finds companies that lose a tax incentive from a foreign government not only reduce their investment in that country, they do so by a significant amount, an average of $7.6 million.

Dan Collins set to retire as UI accounting professor

Dan Collins, who grew up on a farm near Albion and graduated from Marshalltown High School, is set to retire as an accounting professor at the University of Iowa at the end of the school year after 42 years on the faculty.

Accounting alumnus S.P. Kothari (PhD86) is the recipient of the 2022 Distinguished Ph.D. Alumni Award at the Tippie College of Business. He was nominated by his Ph.D. mentor, Professor and Henry B. Tippie Research Chair in Accounting, Dan Collins, for his accomplishments and impact on industry.
