The Tippie College of Business’ online Iowa MBA program was ranked among the top 10% of business analytics programs nationally in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report rankings of online graduate and professional programs.

Tippie professors Rong Su and Kang Zhao are trying to understand why gender gaps exist in scholarly research studies. They were awarded $289,000 from the NSF to find out why male researchers are published more often than women researchers.

“This has been an issue of contention throughout the entire negotiation process,” said Jennifer Blackhurst of the University of Iowa. “I think it’s an issue focusing on the rights of the workers and the workers feeling good about how they’re treated as human beings.”

Tippie's Nick Street has won the highest award given by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) Society on Data Mining.

The statistics division of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) honored Johannes Ledolter with the 2022 William G. Hunter Award.

"When you think of our state's exports, in particular, the crop and agriculture-related imports and exports, the strike on the railways could have a really detrimental impact," Jennifer Blackhurst, a professor of business analytics at the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business said.
