Associate Dean for Research and Ph.D. Programs and Tippie Children Professor of Business Analytics Nick Street has won the highest award given by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) Society on Data Mining.

The INFORMS Society of Data Mining Prize was presented to Street on October 16, 2022. He was given a sculpted glass award with the inscription, “This award is the highest accomplishment the community can bestow upon a member and recognizes a senior researcher for outstanding contributions to the field of data mining over the course of their career.”

His award comes on the heels of the Tippie College of Business being honored as one of the top colleges in the world for preparing students for careers in business analytics, with the 2021 UPS George D. Smith Prize from INFORMS.

In addition to his positions at the Tippie College of Business, Street is also a professor at the College of Nursing, the Department of Computer Science, and at the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Informatics at the University of Iowa. He has been teaching at the university since 1998.
