The Tippie College of Business undergraduate program is ranked 21st among public business schools in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges report, placing it among the top business schools in the country. 

Overall, Tippie placed 33rd in the news magazine’s annual ranking, putting the college once again among the top 8 percent of all U.S. business schools. It’s also the highest ranked business school in Iowa.

Individual Tippie department rankings were also reported as follows:

Accounting:  18th public, 43rd overall

Business Analytics: 13th public, 35th overall

Economics: 30th public, 78th overall

Management: 18th public, 39th overall

Risk Management and Insurance: 7th public, 8th overall

The University of Iowa was ranked as the number one public university in the Writing in the Disciplines category, aided in part by Tippie’s Frank Business Communication Center. The center teaches business students how to strengthen their writing and overall business communication skills.
