Sam Burer is among the University of Iowa faculty receiving the 2021 President and Provost Award for Teaching Excellence in recognition of their years of outstanding teaching.

Burer is the Tippie Rollins Professor of Business Analytics in the Tippie College of Business. He’s been a member of the Tippie faculty since 2001 and has received numerous college and university awards for his teaching, including the Core Faculty Member of the Year, the G.R.E.A.T. Faculty Award, and a Dean’s Teaching Award.

The award, which is administered by the UI Council on Teaching, was created in 2004 to recognize faculty members who have demonstrated a sustained, high level of teaching excellence.
