Solving real-world business challenges with analytics.

Teams in the Iowa Graduate Business Analytics Case Competition will compete April 16-17, 2020 for $10,000 in prizes.

This competition is a chance for the brightest graduate analytics students in the country to come together and solve a real-world business problem. During the competition, teams will perform a deep-dive analysis and consider multiple data points before making their recommendations to a panel of industry experts.

The event will be held April 16—17, 2020 at the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business in Iowa City, Iowa.

Here's what's included (and what's not) in your registration.

Two rooms per team for two nights (Thursday, April 16th–Friday, April 17th) will be provided for team members at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Iowa City.  Here, you'll be at the heart of the competition and connected to the city's cultural center. View a map to see where the hotel is located in relationship to campus. NOTE: If your team requires a third hotel room, that cost will be the responsibility of the team.

Teams are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the airport and the case competition. The nearest airport is the Eastern Iowa Airport (CID), located in Cedar Rapids, IA. This commuter and regional hub is a 20-minute drive to/from campus. Numerous transportation options are available to get from the airport to campus. Once you get to Iowa City, it's a quick 4-1/2 block walk from the Tippie College of Business to the Hilton Garden Inn.
