Use this form if you are a current University of Iowa student and you want to appeal your admissions decision to the Tippie College of Business. This form can be submitted only after you have been officially denied admission. Absent extenuating circumstances, appeals must be submitted online within 10 days from the date of notification. Letters of recommendation or references are not accepted.

If you are submitting additional documentation (e.g., medical documentation), it must be sent directly from the provider to the Undergraduate Program Office via one of the following methods:

Using your prebusiness degree audit, enter the following grade-point averages:

Please upload a professional letter addressing the following points: (a) what circumstances or events led to you become inadmissible to the Tippie College of Business; (b) how your circumstances or events negatively impacted your academic performance; and (c) why you believe you will be successful if admitted to the Tippie College of Business. Your letter should be addressed to the Admissions Committee.

Using your prebusiness degree audit, enter your grades for ACCT:2100 Introduction to Financial Accounting and ACCT:2200 Managerial Accounting.

For admission to the Professional Program in Accounting, all students must pass a writing assessment in addition to meeting current departmental requirements.

Please upload a professional letter addressing the following points: (a) an explanation of why you are not admissible to the Professional Program in Accounting; (b) an explanation of why you believe your circumstances or situation has been resolved and will no longer negatively impact your academic performance; and (c) why you want to be an accounting major and pursue professional accounting as a career. Your letter will be forwarded to the Department of Accounting for review.
