The human + AI advantage
At the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business, the Strategic Sales Program doesn't just teach you how to sell; it transforms you into a next-generation sales leader. One who leverages technology, builds trust, and drives results in a world powered by AI and human connection.
Automation and AI are changing the game. The Strategic Sales Program teaches you how to partner with technology to build relationships, solve problems, and make an impact on day one.
Your launchpad to next-gen sales
Three core courses. One real-world proving ground:
- Professional Selling – Master the foundations of modern selling: listening, questioning, connection, and trust-building. Includes role-plays, active listening drills, habit development, and first exposure to AI tools.
- Advanced Power Selling – You'll level up with advanced discovery, negotiation, multi-stakeholder selling, complex account management, leadership communication, and AI-supported strategy. Includes live projects with partner companies.
- Sales Management – Develop the time management, interpersonal communication, forecasting, coaching, and AI-enabled analysis skills required to thrive in today’s workplace. You’ll learn how sales teams function, how to motivate performance, and how to balance individual and team goals in a real-world environment.
- Internship Experience – You'll prove your ability on the field, gaining hands-on experience and measurable results through corporate partnerships. This is required for the certificate.
The Strategic Sales Program brings students, faculty and corporate partners together to redefine what it means to sell in a digital world.
